Replacing the Control Panel (Intel® Server System SR2600UR only) The steps for replacing the standard control panel and the Intel® Local Control Panel in Intel® Server System SR2600UR are nearly identical. Use this procedure for both varieties of the control panel. Where necessary, differences between the two control panels are noted. Your server must be operated with a control panel installed. Caution: The control panel is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the control panel, you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or wall outlet. To replace the control panel, follow these steps: 1. Press the latch at the back of the control panel and push forward to release it (see letter "A" in Figure 117). 2. The steps for replacing the standard control panel and the Intel
®
Local Control Panel in

Server System SR2600UR are nearly identical. Use this procedure for both
varieties of the control panel. Where necessary, differences between the two control
panels are noted.
Your server must be operated with a control panel installed.
Caution:
The control panel is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the control panel,
you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
To replace the control panel, follow these steps:
1.
Press the latch at the back of the control panel and push forward to release it (see
letter “A” in
Figure 117
).
2.
Slide the control panel out through the front of the server system (see letter “B” in
Figure 117
).
