Removing and Installing the Small Air Baffle (Intel® Server System SR2600UR only) Some installation processes require that you remove the small air baffle that is placed behind the hard drive bays, near the front of your server. The following sections describe how to remove and then install the small air baffle. Use the instructions in these sections only when it is indicated as necessary for a component installation process. Always operate your server system with the small air baffle in place. The small air baffle is required for proper airflow within the server system. Removing the Small Air Baffle Pull out and up on the air baffle as shown in Figure 49 to remove it. Figure 49. Removing the Small Air Baffle AF002958 Installing the Small Air Baffle To install the small air baffle, follows these steps: 1. Lower the baffle into the server system and position the baffle over the two standoff locations. 2. Some installation processes require that you remove the small air baffle that is placed

Always operate your server system with the small air baffle in place. The small air baffle

Removing the Small Air Baffle
Pull out and up on the air baffle as shown in
Figure 49
to remove it.
