Install the heatsink. For instructions, see "Installing the Heatsink(s)" on page 62. Installing the Heatsink(s) You must install the processor before installing the heatsink. For instructions, see "Installing the Processor" on page 59. Caution: Improper installation can damage the heatsink. Pay close attention to the steps and perform each step exactly as indicated to avoid damage. Caution: The heatsink has Thermal Interface Material (TIM) located on the bottom of it. Use caution when you unpack the heatsink so you do not damage the TIM. Note: New unused heatsinks have adequate TIM on the bottom.
