Insight Instant AirBridge WBC502 User Manual Setting Description BSSID If you want the satellite to connect to a particular master, select the Preferred BSSID check box and enter the basic service set ID (BSSID) of the master in the format of a MAC address. The BSSID is usually the MAC address of the radio on the AirBridge master that broadcasts the SSID. SSID In the SSID field, enter the service set ID (SSID), that is, the name of the WiFi network on the AirBridge master with which the satellite must connect. Security Mode From the Security Mode menu, select the same security mode that is defined on the AirBridge master. You can select WPA2-PSK or WPA2-Enterprise for the connection to the selected SSID. For information about WPA2-Enterprise, see Set up WPA2-Enterprise security on a satellite or client bridge on page 84. Encryption If you select WPA2-PSK from the Security Mode menu, this field is fixed at AES. You cannot select another option. Passphrase If you select WPA2-PSK from the Security Mode menu, enter the passphrase (network key or WiFi password). The length of the passphrase must be from 8 to 63 characters. You must enter the same passphrase that is defined on the AirBridge master so that the satellite can connect to the master. 7. Click the Save button. Your settings are saved but not yet applied. The page closes. The Wireless Settings page displays again. A pop-up window opens. The window shows the number of changes to be applied. 8. In the pop-up window, click the Apply button. Your changes are applied. If the WiFi link must be reestablished, the page displays the number of seconds before the AirBridge is back online. Setting
If you want the satellite to connect to a particular master, select the
Preferred BSSID
check
box and enter the basic service set ID (BSSID) of the master in the format of a MAC address.
The BSSID is usually the MAC address of the radio on the AirBridge master that broadcasts
the SSID.

field, enter the service set ID (SSID), that is, the name of the WiFi network on
the AirBridge master with which the satellite must connect.

menu, select the same security mode that is defined on the
AirBridge master. You can select

Use this task if the operation mode of the AirBridge is AirBridge Master and the AirBridge
mode is enabled.
