Battery, Battery Indicator, Installing and Removing the Battery

Battery Your device is powered by a rechargeable, standard Li-Ion battery. A Wall/USB Charger (Charging Head and USB cable) is included with the device, for charging the battery. The battery comes partially charged. You must fully charge the battery before using your device for the first time. A fully discharged battery requires up to 4 hours of charge time. After the first charge, you can use the device while charging. Warning! Use only Samsung-approved charging devices and batteries. Samsung accessories are designed to maximize battery life. Using other accessories may invalidate your warranty and may cause damage. Battery Indicator The battery icon in the Status Bar shows battery power level. Before the battery becomes too low to operate, the battery icon flashes and a tone plays. If you continue using the device without charging, the device will power off. Tip: Task Manager provides helpful information about extending battery life. For more information, see "Task manager" on page 73. 8 Installing and Removing the Battery Installing the battery Ⅲ Insert the battery into the device, aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts in the device. Removing the Battery Ⅲ Lift the battery up and out of the device, using the slot provided.
