System Motions and gestures Your device recognizes motion, to allow you to navigate and access features by moving the device in specific gestures. Configure specific motion gestures and settings, to customize your device to your preferences. For more information about using gestures, see "Hand Gestures" on page 30. 1. From the Settings screen, touch Motions and gestures. 2. Touch ON to turn each of the following options On OFF or Off. Touch each option to configure its features: • Air gesture: When turned on, allows you to control you phone by moving your hand about the proximity sensor. The following features are available: - Quick glance: When turned on, allows you to check key information at a glance while the screen is off, by reaching toward the top of your device. - Air jump: When turned on, allows you to scroll through Email messages in screen-sized jumps. 202 - Air browse: When turned on, allows you to move between pictures, pages, or music tracks. - Air call-accept: When turned on, allows you to answer calls. • Air view: When turned on, allows you to view additional information by hovering your finger or the S Pen over the screen (the choice is yours). The following features are available: - Air view mode: Choose which object you can hover over the screen to view additional information: Pen, Finger, or Auto. - Air view pen options: When Air view mode is set to Pen or Auto, allows you to select what additional information will display when you hover your S Pen over items on the screen. - Air view finger options: When Air view mode is set to Finger or Auto, allows you to select what additional information will display when you hover your S Pen over items on the screen. • Air command: When turned on, allows you to display the Air command menu when you press the S Pen button then hover your S Pen over the screen.
