HW Setup Always Low CPU power consumption and clock speed automatic switching function is disabled. The CPU always runs at low power consumption and low speed. Boot Priority Boot Priority Options This option sets the priority for booting the computer. You can override the settings and manually select a boot device by pressing one of the following keys while the computer is booting: U Selects the USB floppy disk drive. N Selects the Network. C Selects optical device. FDD is looked for when the boot disk is contained in external hard disk drive. To change the boot drive, follow the steps below. 1. Hold down F12 and boot the computer. 2. The boot select screen will be displayed: HDD, CD/DVD, FDD, and LAN. 3. Use the upper/lower cursor keys to highlight the boot device you want and press Enter. Hard Disk Drive Priority Options If more than one hard disk drive is installed in the computer, this option lets you set the priority for hard disk drive detection. If the first detected hard disk drive has a boot command, the system will boot from the hard disk drive. Built-in HDD -> 2nd HDD 2nd HDD -> Built-in HDD The computer will look for the Built-in hard disk drive first, next the 2nd hard disk drive and then the hard disk drive (Default). The computer will look for the 2nd hard disk drive first, next the Built-in hard disk drive, and then the hard disk drive. ■ If a boot command is not found on the first detected hard disk drive, the system will not boot from the other hard disk drive. It will search the next device in the boot priority for a boot command. ■ Some modules may not be displayed. TECRA A3/S2 7-3
