ADVANCED OPERATION Advanced setup This unit has additional menus that are displayed in the front panel display. The advanced setup menu offers additional operations to adjust and customize the way this unit operates. Change the initial settings (indicated in bold under each parameter) to reflect the needs of your listening environment. Notes • The settings you make are reflected next time you press AMASTER ON/OFF inward to the ON position to turn on this unit (see page 33). • Only AMASTER ON/OFF, OSTRAIGHT and the NPROGRAM selector are effective while you are using the advanced setup menu. • All the other operations cannot be made while you are using the advanced setup menu. • The advanced setup menu is only available in the front panel display. Using the advanced setup menu ■ Speaker impedance SPEAKER IMP. Use this feature to set the speaker impedance of this unit so that it matches that of your speakers. 1 Press AMASTER ON/OFF on the front panel to release it outward to the OFF position to turn off this unit. Choices: 8Ω MIN, 6Ω MIN • Select "8Ω MIN" to set the speaker impedance to 8 Ω . • Select "6Ω MIN" to set the speaker impedance to 6 Ω . 2 Press and hold OSTRAIGHT and then press AMASTER ON/OFF inward to the ON position to turn on this unit. This unit turns on, and "ADVANCED MENU" appears in the front panel display. STRAIGHT EFFECT While holding down MASTER SPEAKER IMP. 8Ω MIN Speaker Front Center Surround Surround back Impedance level The impedance of each speaker must be 8 Ω or higher. The impedance of each speaker must be 8 Ω or higher. 3 Rotate the NPROGRAM selector to select the parameter you want to adjust. The name of the selected parameter appears in the front panel display. 4 Press OSTRAIGHT repeatedly to change the selected parameter setting. 5 Press AMASTER ON/OFF to release it outward to the OFF position to save the new setting and turn off this unit. y The settings you made are reflected next time you turn on this unit. Front The impedance of each speaker must be 4 Ω or higher. 6Ω MIN Center Surround Surround back The impedance of each speaker must be 6 Ω or higher. ■ Remote sensor REMOTE SENSOR Use this feature to activate or deactivate the signalreceiving capability of the remote control sensor on the front panel of this unit. Choices: ON, OFF • Select "ON" if you want to activate the signal- receiving capability of the remote control sensor. • Select "OFF" if you want to deactivate the signal- receiving capability of the remote control sensor.
