Prestige 314 PLUS Broadband Sharing Gateway with 4-Port Switch Chapter 9 SNMP Configuration This chapter explains SNMP configuration menu 22. SNMP is only available if TCP/IP is configured. 9.1 About SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol is a protocol used for exchanging management information between network devices. SNMP is a member of TCP/IP protocol suite. Your Prestige supports SNMP agent functionality, which allows a manager station to manage and monitor the Prestige through the network. The Prestige supports SNMP version one (SNMPv1). The next figure illustrates an SNMP management operation. SNMP is only available if TCP/IP is configured. SNMP Configuration 9-1
