3-10 Planning and Installing the Online Storage Controller Updating the SMART-2 Array Controller Device Drivers Updated device drivers for the SMART-2 Array Controllers are on the Compaq SSD for Windows NT (version 2.02 or later), which is on the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD included in the Recovery Server Option /U kit. Instructions for installing the Compaq SSD for Windows NT are given below. Loading the Compaq SSD for Windows NT The software required for OSCRO is included on the Compaq SSD for Windows NT, which is on the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD included in the kit. The Compaq SSD for Windows NT also provides the updated Compaq Remote Monitor Service and the System Management driver, both of which are required for OSCRO. Run SETUP.EXE from CPQSUPSW\NTSSD. When the Setup Utility for the Compaq SSD for Windows NT is running, the screen shown in Figure 3-5 is displayed. This screen lists the options available. To install OSCRO, highlight the Compaq Online Storage Controller Recovery line and click the Install or Update button.

Loading the Compaq SSD for Windows NT
