Table 3-5 Service Menu (continued) Menu item USB speed Less paper curl Archive print Description When printed pages are consistently curled, this option sets the printer to a mode that reduces curl. The default setting is Off. When printing pages that will be stored for a long time, this option sets the printer to a mode that reduces toner smearing and dusting. The default setting is Off. Table 3-6 Network Configuration Menu (Available only on HP Color LaserJet CM1017 MFP Series) Menu item TCP/IP configuration Sub-menu item Automatic Manual Link speed Memory card Restore defaults Automatic 10T Full 10T Half 100TX Full 100TX Half Description Select Automatic to automatically configure all the TCP/IP settings. Select Manual to manually configure the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. The control panel prompts you to specify values for each address section. Press Right arrow to increase the value. Press Left arrow to decrease the value. Press OK to accept the value and move the cursor to the next field. As each address is completed, the printer prompts for address confirmation before moving to the next one. After all three addresses are set, the printer automatically restarts. Select Reset TCP/IP to restore all the TCP/IP settings to the default values. The printer automatically detects the correct link speed for the network. Use this menu to set the link speed manually if needed. After setting the link speed, the printer automatically restarts. Sets memory card slots.
