Technical Specifications Serial Port Specifications Note: For dust and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, a cover is provided for the Serial port and should be kept on the port whenever the Serial port is not in use. The Serial port can be used to connect to a computer workstation to configure the switch IP address without connecting to the fabric. The Serial port's parameters are 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control. The port requires a straight Serial cable with a female 9-pin subminiature-D connector.
