The CR8 blade contains the ASICs
for switching between Director
blades. Every Director blade con-
nects to every core switch blade.
There are 384 total ports for Director
blades. Each core switch blade con-
nects to 192 backplane ports. Core
switch blades have additional front
port connectivity to connect multiple
chassis and backplane connections
for the storage server blade. This
core switch blade is compatible only
with the DC SAN Director.
