Open the maintenance console/shell in ESX3. a. Press ALT+F1. A shell without any prompt appears. b. Type unsupported (all lowercase) and press ENTER. Typed text is not prompted back. c. Enter your password when prompted. There is no password by default for the shell. If you have set any password from the "yellow" screen (DCUI), use that password. You are prompted (#) next. 2.
