7. USING THE SEWING MACHINE (OPERATION PANEL: ADVANCED OPERATION) 7-3. Resetting the data (initialization) If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect memory setting may have been made by means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by following the steps given below to initialize the memory setting data. 1 While pressing the RESET key, push the POWER switch (1) to the ON side. 4927M 4854M 2 Select the initialization level (2) from 1 to 3. The mode will switch to initialization mode. 4928M 4787M 3 [To carry out initialization] (Press for 2 seconds or more.) 4 [To exit initialization mode] Flashing Level 1 is selected as the default. * The settings that are reset (initialized) will vary depending on the initialization level selected. (Refer to the table below.) "OPERATING" will be displayed and initialization will start. * If you do not wish to carry out the initialization procedure, press the RESET key. 4794M 4917M 4857M Normal sewing machine operation will then be possible.
