Adjusting the installation height of the upper thread trimmer 3982Q 3983Q Loosen the screw (1), and then move the upper thread trimmer (2) up or down to adjust the clearance between the upper thread trimmer (2) and the work clamp (3) to approximately 1 mm. NOTE: The work clamp (3) will tilt when sewing joints, so adjust so that the upper thread trimmer (2) do not touch it. If the upper thread trimmer (2) touch the work clamp (3), the work clamp lifter pulse motor may get out of step. * If the tilting of the work clamp (3) causes skipped stitches to occur when sewing material joints, use the accessory auxiliary sheet (4) as shown in the illustration. Loosen the screw (1), and then move the upper thread trimmer (2) up or down to adjust the clearance between the upper
thread trimmer (2) and the work clamp (3) to approximately 1 mm.
NOTE:
The work clamp (3) will tilt when sewing joints, so adjust so that the upper thread trimmer (2) do not touch it. If the upper
