Chapter C ERROR MESSAGES ERROR MESSAGE CAUSE Unable to Init. The machine has a mechanical (Initialize) problem. Unable to Print Unable to Scan Waste Toner Full The waste toner pack is full. ACTION Turn off the machine's power switch and then turn it on again. If the error message continues leave the machine for several minutes and then try it again. (The machine can be turned off for up to 60 hours without losing faxes stored in the memory. If the machine will be off longer than 60 hours, you can save the faxes in your PC. See Transferring faxes to your PC on page C-5.) Replace the waste toner pack. (See Replacing the waste toner pack on page C-32.) C - 4
