Chapter 5 Administrator Settings • Index file format Specify a file format for the index files. • Set the order of information Displays the [Index item settings] screen. This allows you to configure the order of the components that are included in the index file. Select an item and press the [Upward] or [Downward] button to change its position in the order. Hint • The check boxes for items that are set to [Enable] in the [Index settings] screen will be selected. Similarly, the selected/deselected state of the [Enable] check boxes in the [Index settings] screen will reflect the check boxes you configure in this screen. • The position of [Index string] can be changed, but its check box cannot be deselected. • Index string/Field name Enter a string for the index. You can change the default field name ("String") as necessary. • User name Select the [Enable] check box to include the user name in the index file. You can change the default field name ("User") as necessary. • Date Select the [Enable] check box to include the date in the index file, and select a format for the date in the [Format] list box. You can change the default field name ("Date") as necessary. • Time Select the [Enable] check box to include the time in the index file, and select a format for the time in the [Format] list box. You can change the default field name ("Time") as necessary. Hint The time set on the ScanFront will be used. • Device name Select the [Enable] check box to include the device name in the index file. When this is enabled, you can specify the starting value and number of digits used for the counter. Administrator Settings
• Index file format
Specify a file format for the index files.
• Set the order of information
Displays the [Index item settings] screen.
This allows you to configure the order of the components
that are included in the index file.
Select an item and press the [Upward] or [Downward]
button to change its position in the order.
Hint
The check boxes for items that are set to [Enable] in the
[Index settings] screen will be selected. Similarly, the
selected/deselected state of the [Enable] check boxes in the
[Index settings] screen will reflect the check boxes you
configure in this screen.
The position of [Index string] can be changed, but its check
box cannot be deselected.
• Index string/Field name
Enter a string for the index. You can change the default
field name (“String”) as necessary.
• User name
Select the [Enable] check box to include the user name in
the index file. You can change the default field name
(“User”) as necessary.
• Date
Select the [Enable] check box to include the date in the
index file, and select a format for the date in the [Format]
list box. You can change the default field name (“Date”)
as necessary.
• Time
Select the [Enable] check box to include the time in the
index file, and select a format for the time in the [Format]
list box. You can change the default field name (“Time”)
as necessary.
