• As you raise the value from the default setting, pages of the document that are blank become less likely to be skipped. Automatic Feeding When this is set to [ON], documents placed on the scanner will be detected and fed automatically. To end scanning, press [Cancel]. Hint To scan from a flatbed scanner while this is set to [ON], press the scan button on the flatbed scanner. Document orientation Chapter 4 Operating Procedures Rotate +180 degrees Back Side Rotate the image of the back side 180 degrees during duplex scanning. Hint The following two settings must be configured to enable [Rotate +180 degrees Back Side]. • Set the scanning side to [Duplex] or [Skip Blank Page] under [Scan Settings] in the [Scan / Send Settings] screen. (See p. 87.) • Set [Document orientation] to a setting other than [Auto] in the [Detailed Settings] screen. (See p. 90.) Deskew Rotates the scanned image a specified amount. Hint If you select [Auto], the orientation of text within the document is detected and the image is rotated so that the orientation of the text is correct. IMPORTANT The scanning speed may be reduced when [Auto] is selected. Operating Procedures
As you raise the value from the default setting, pages of the
document that are blank become less likely to be skipped.
Automatic Feeding
When this is set to [ON], documents placed on the scanner will
be detected and fed automatically.
To end scanning, press [Cancel].
Hint
To scan from a flatbed scanner while this is set to [ON], press
the scan button on the flatbed scanner.
Document orientation
Rotates the scanned image a specified amount.
Hint
If you select [Auto], the orientation of text within the document is
detected and the image is rotated so that the orientation of the
text is correct.
IMPORTANT
The scanning speed may be reduced when [Auto] is selected.
Rotate +180 degrees Back Side
Rotate the image of the back side 180 degrees during
duplex scanning.
Hint
The following two settings must be configured to enable [Rotate
+180 degrees Back Side].
Set the scanning side to [Duplex] or [Skip Blank Page] under
