Chapter 6 User Settings ❏ Registering New Addresses If an address to which you want to send an image file is not registered in the address book, you can register a new address. For details on how to register a new address, see "7. Registering and Editing Addresses" - "Registering a New Address" on p. 78. Hint • The number of addresses that can be registered to Shared Address Book (My Address Book) is up to 1,000 in combination with the total number of addresses included in Shared Job Button (My Job Button). • For the number mentioned above, the count for a group is the number of addresses registered to the group (maximum of 99 addresses) plus the group name, so a group with 99 addresses registered to it is counted as having 100 addresses. • The available settings vary depending on the type of address (Email, Shared folder, FTP Server, Fax, or Group). ❏ Modifying Addresses Modify an address when there is a send error because the information of the transfer destination registered for the address is wrong or has been changed. For details on how to modify an address, see "7. Registering and Editing Addresses" - "Modifying an Address" on p. 83. ❏ Copying Addresses You can copy addresses and register them as new addresses. For details on how to copy an address, see "7. Registering and Editing Addresses" - "Copying an Address" on p. 84. Hint Use this function when you want to copy an address between Shared Address Book and My Address Book and register it as a different address after changing some of the settings. 164
