The values specified in this section appear in the signature set item section, in the Siglist.txt file found on the server, and in the user interface through a Platform.ini file. Items in this section are set automatically, based on the list of currently supported platforms. Do not change the items in the [OSID] section. If you use the Job Scheduler Wizard, you have the added benefit of scheduling your virus signature updates. Using the Job Scheduler Wizard To use the Job Scheduler Wizard to update virus signatures: 1. Open the Job Scheduler Wizard. 2. On the Welcome screen, select the default server and click Next. If you do not select the default server before clicking Next, the login screen appears. If you use the default server, skip steps 3 and 4. 3. On the login screen, select the local server name for the machine you want to submit the job to. 4. Enter your user name and password to log into the server, and then click Next. 5. Updating Virus Signatures
Using InoDist.ini, you can update virus signatures by using the Job Scheduler
Wizard, the command prompt, or by running them directly from the Web. If you
use the Job Scheduler Wizard, you have the added benefit of scheduling your virus
signature updates.
Using the Job Scheduler Wizard
To use the Job Scheduler Wizard to update virus signatures:
1.
Open the Job Scheduler Wizard.
2.
On the Welcome screen, select the default server and click Next. If you do not
select the default server before clicking Next, the login screen appears. If you
use the default server, skip steps 3 and 4.
