The submenu then appears in place of the current screen. • The Esc key is the exit key. If you press the Esc key on one of the top-level screens, the Exit menu appears. If you press Esc on a submenu, the previous screen appears. When you are making selections from a pop-up menu, use the Esc key to close the pop-up without making a selection. Setting the Server's Boot Passwords You can configure the HP NetServer LXr 8000 to require a password upon booting. Further, you can have a separate user password and administrator password. To configure the HP NetServer to require a boot password: 1. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to select Security from the Setup menu. As soon as you do this, the Security menu appears. 2. Use the down-arrow key to move to the Password on Boot field. If the entry in this field is Disabled, press the Return key to change it to Enabled. When the Password on Boot feature is enabled, the HP NetServer requests a password upon booting. If it does not receive the password, the server remains in Secure Mode. 100

To configure the HP NetServer to require a boot password:
