Chapter 2 Controls, Indicators, and Ports Only two lines of the main menu can appear on the display at one time. Use the control panel's up-arrow and down-arrow buttons to scroll up and down through the menu selections. A cursor shows which line is currently selected. Lines that begin with a greater-than symbol (>) and have a blinking cursor are menu selections that lead to other menus. To choose a selection, use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to the appropriate line and then press the Enter button. The menu selections are: • HW Sys Info.: Information on the server's hardware configuration. • FW Info.: The version numbers of the server's firmware. • HW P/N.: Part number and serial number of the server's chassis. • Event Log.: The server's log of current and resolved error conditions. To return to the Main Menu from one of these selection, press the Escape button on the control panel. To exit the Main Menu itself, also press Escape. The HW Sys Info (Hardware System Information) Menu The HW Sys Info menu displays the server's configuration: the number, speed, and type of CPUs, cache information, and the amount of RAM on each memory board. You cannot enter information here, only view it.
