The model number and serial number are on the lower-right side of the bezel, as shown in the following illustration. The illustration might differ slightly from your hardware. Model type/serial number The server comes in hot-swap and simple-swap models. For additional information, see the User's Guide on the IBM System x3400 Documentation CD. Important: The server keys cannot be duplicated by a locksmith. If you lose them, order replacement keys from the key manufacturer. The key serial number and the telephone number of the manufacturer are on a tag that is attached to the keys. If you plan to install the server in a rack, you must purchase a Tower-to-Rack Kit conversion kit.
