Chapter 3 - Use the Scanner Enable Symbology Decoding Before you start reading bar codes, use the Settings app to enable decoding for only the bar code symbologies you need to read. 1 Start the Settings app. 2 In the Intermec section, tap Scanners > Internal Scanners > Symbologies. By default, decoding is enabled for these symbologies: • Code 128 and GS1-128 • Code 39 • Datamatrix • UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, and UPC-E1 • PDF417 3 To enable decoding for a symbology type, slide the switch on. Enable Symbology Decoding
Before you start reading bar codes, use the Settings app to enable
decoding for only the bar code symbologies you need to read.

Start the Settings app.

In the Intermec section, tap
Scanners > Internal Scanners >
Symbologies
.
By default, decoding is enabled for these symbologies:
•
Code 128 and GS1-128
•
Code 39
•
Datamatrix
•
UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, and UPC-E1
•
PDF417

To enable decoding for a symbology type, slide the switch on.
To disable decoding, slide the switch off.
