Chapter 3 - Use the Scanner TLC 39 Settings This section lists all the configurable settings for decoding the TLC 39 symbology. TLC 39 Settings and Descriptions Setting Linear only transmit mode ECI Security User defined symbology ID Code mark Description Enables or disables linear only transmit mode. When enabled, the computer only transmits the linear part of the bar code. Default is disabled. Sets the security level used when reading TLC 39 bar codes if EDI has been found and Code 39 is enabled. The higher the value, the more secure the decoding, but higher values can interfere with decode speed. Range is 0 to 64. Default is 10. Sets the symbology ID for TLC 39. Range is 1 to 4 ASCII characters. \xFF is not supported. Default is H0. A one-character code mark that serves as an identifier for TLC 39. Default is *. TLC 39 Settings
This section lists all the configurable settings for decoding the TLC 39
symbology.
Configure the Scanner Decode Security Settings
You use the Settings app to set options for decode security. These
settings ensure that the computer decodes bar codes correctly and
securely.

Start the Settings app and tap
Scanners > Internal Scanner >
Decode Security

Tap a setting in the list to change it. Your changes are
automatically saved.
TLC 39 Settings and Descriptions
Setting
Description
Linear only transmit mode
Enables or disables linear only transmit
mode. When enabled, the computer only
transmits the linear part of the bar code.
Default is disabled.
ECI Security
Sets the security level used when reading
TLC 39 bar codes if EDI has been found
and Code 39 is enabled. The higher the
value, the more secure the decoding, but
higher values can interfere with decode
speed. Range is 0 to 64.
Default is 10.
User defined symbology ID
Sets the symbology ID for TLC 39. Range
is 1 to 4 ASCII characters. \xFF is not
supported.
Default is H0.
Code mark
