Chapter 3 - Use the Scanner Set the Scanner Trigger or Aimer Mode You use the Settings app to set the trigger and aimer modes for the scanner. You can also select how the imager behaves after a good read. 1 Start the Settings app and tap Scanners > Internal Scanner > Scanner Settings. Hardware triggering is enabled by default. 2 Tap a setting in the list to change it. Your changes are automatically saved. Scanner Settings This section lists the configurable trigger and aimer mode settings. Note: For these settings, pressing the Scan button on the computer is the same as pulling the trigger on the scan handle accessory. Trigger and Aimer Mode Settings Setting Description Hardware Enables or disables the scanner (or an external scanning device) trigger without affecting communication to the computer. When disabled, nothing happens when you press the Scan button. For tethered scanners, the laser or imager beam may turn on, but no data is read. You use the Settings app to set the trigger and aimer modes for the
scanner. You can also select how the imager behaves after a good read.
