Imaging Color Options in Color Mode let you choose how the printing system processes color matching for a print job. Color matching is the process of accurately and consistently converting RGB colors (colors as shown on the computer monitor) to CMYK colors (colors as used for output printing). RGB is an acronym for Red, Green, and Blue. CMYK is an acronym for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Color mode offers the following options: Color Mode Option Color (CMYK) Monochrome Custom Description Prints full four-color text and graphics. Prints as black only, constraining all color settings. Click Adjustment to change the Adjustment settings. Select to make Continuous tone settings available. Continuous Tone Continuous tone prints a wide range of color with every shade of gray represented is the tone setting most associated with photographic images. For color models, Continuous tone available in addition to Print text as black, and Print graphics as black. Continuous tone available when Custom is selected under Color mode. Custom Color Mode Adjustment To specify custom color settings: 1 Select Custom from the Color mode list. 1 2 To open the Adjustment Settings dialog box, click Adjustment. A preview image in the dialog box illustrates color changes. 2 Crayons Saturation or RGB adjustment Portrait Skin tone and mid-tone adjustment Fruit Hue adjustment 3 From the Custom color adjustment list, select Custom 1, Custom 2, or Custom 3.3 4 To open the Custom Color Adjustment dialog box, click Settings. 4 6-9 KX Driver
