CHAPTER 5 FUNCTIONS 6. Sorting automatically [Sort copy] Since copying is performed after memorizing multiple originals, copies can be sorted into the required number of sets even without an optional finisher. 3 Enter the number of copies and press the Start key. When using the DF, scans and copies originals one at a time. When setting the originals on the platen, go to the next step. NOTE • If "ON" is set in "$ Rotate sort" on page 6-13, and the paper size is 11" × 8 1/2", the orientation of each set of copies is changed, thus making copies easy to handle. To use this setting, 11" × 8 1/2" paper must be set lengthwise in one drawer and widthwise in the other. • When using the multi-bypass for rotate sort copying, set the paper size for the multi-bypass (see page 3-3). 4 Set the next original and press the Start key. 1 Set the original(s). 2 Press the sort mode key to light the indicator. NOTE • Repeat this operation for all originals. 5 After all the originals have been scanned, press the enter key. Copying will start. 5-9
