Initializing and Reconfiguring the TPM Chip If you have to re-register as a user due to a hard disk drive fault, you can initialize the authentication information saved on the TPM chip and reconfigure it. When initializing a TPM chip, all authentication information saved on the TPM chip is deleted. Before initialization, decrypt all encrypted files. If you do not decrypt the files, you will not be able to access the encrypted files after initialization. 4 Press the → key to move to the TPM State, press the ↓ key to move to the Change TPM State item, and press . 5 Press the ↓ key to move to the Clear item, and press . 6 Press the key. When the Setup Confirmation window appears, select Yes and press .
