About the CompactFlash/SD cards With the CompactFlash card slot of the printer, you can use CompactFlash Storage Card (Type I/Type II) and CF+Card (Type I/Type II)-compatible CompactFlash Storage Card. With the SD card slot, you can use SD memory card and MMC standard memory card. With the CompactFlash card slot, you can also use xD-picture card or smart media by using a commercially available CompactFlash card adaptor. Not all the memory card operations are supported. Notes on use • You cannot use CompactFlash cards with a power specification of 3V (3.3V or less) only. Do not insert other types of CompactFlash card into the printer's insertion slot. The printer may be damaged. • When using the ComapctFlash card adaptor, the write-protected card may not work properly. • You cannot read or write the data of the SD card subject to the copyright protection. • Do not drop, bend, or submit the CompactFlash/SD card to external shock. • Do not disassemble or modify the card. • Avoid getting liquids on the CompactFlash/SD card or using them in areas subject to high humidity.
