Dual Mode Functions You can set various parameters for the Dual mode to optimize the settings for the songs you play, such as adjusting the volume balance between two Voices. Dual mode function settings are set individually for each Voice combination. 1. Select the Voices in the Dual mode, then call up the Function mode and select a function number. 2. Use the [-/NO] [+/YES] buttons to set the values. SHORTCUT: You can jump directly to the Dual mode function by simultaneously holding down the two Dual mode Voice buttons and pressing the [TEMPO/FUNCTION] button. Dual Balance Finely adjusts the balance between the two Voices, layering the two so that one Voice serves as the main sound and the other provides a subtle accent or a textured after-sound. Setting range: 0 - 20 (A setting of "10" produces an equal balance between the two Dual mode Voices. Settings below "10" increase the volume of Voice 2 in relation to Voice 1, and settings above "10" increase the volume of Voice 1 in relation to Voice 2.) Default setting: Different for each Voice combination. Dual Detune Detunes Voice 1 and Voice 2 for Dual mode to create a thicker sound. Setting range: -20 - 0 - 20 (With positive values, the pitch of Voice 1 is raised and the pitch of Voice 2 is lowered. With negative values, the pitch of Voice 1 is lowered and the pitch of Voice 2 is raised.) Default setting: Different for each Voice combination. NOTE The available setting range is wider in the lower range (± 60 cents for A -1), and narrower in the higher range (± 5 cents for C7). (100 cents equal one semitone.) Voice 1 Octave Shift Voice 2 Octave Shift Shifts the pitch up and down in octave steps for Voice 1 and Voice 2 independently. Depending on which Voices you combine in Dual mode, the combination may sound better if one of the Voices is shifted up or down an octave. Setting range: -1, 0, 1 Default setting: Different for each Voice combination. NOTE "Voice 1" and "Voice 2" are explained on page 26. Voice 1 Effect Depth Voice 2 Effect Depth These functions allow you to individually set the depth of the effect for Voices 1 and 2 for Dual mode. Setting range: 0 - 20 Default setting: Different for each Voice combination. NOTE "Voice 1" and "Voice 2" are explained on page 26. Reset Resets all Dual mode functions to their default values. Detailed Settings
Function Parameters — Various Convenient Settings
You can set various parameters for the Dual mode to
optimize the settings for the songs you play, such as
adjusting the volume balance between two Voices. Dual
mode function settings are set individually for each Voice
combination.

Select the Voices in the Dual mode, then call up
the Function mode and select a function
number.

Dual Balance
