Pedal Settings and Acoustic Processing These functions allow you to assign the [PLAY/PAUSE] function to the pedal or set the depth, etc. of the resonance effect of the damper pedal. Pedal [PLAY/PAUSE] function 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP The [PLAY/PAUSE] function can be assigned to the left pedal or the center pedal. If the [PLAY/PAUSE] function is assigned to a pedal, the original pedal function (soft or sostenuto) is disabled. Setting range: OFF 1 (left pedal) 2 (center pedal) Default setting: OFF Half Pedal Point 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP Sets the degree to which pressing the damper pedal applies the half-pedal effect. Setting range: -2 (effective at shallow position) - 0 - 4 (effective at deep position) Default setting: 0 Damper Resonance Depth 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP Sets the degree of application of the string resonance effect, which is added when the damper pedal is pressed for the GRAND PIANO 1 - GRAND PIANO 4 Voices (including the variations). Setting range: 0 - 10 Default setting: Different for each Voice Soft Pedal Effect Depth 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP This function sets the depth of the soft pedal effect. Setting range: 1 - 10 Default setting: 5 String Resonance Depth 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP Sets the way the string resonance effect is applied to the GRAND PIANO 1 - GRAND PIANO 3 Voices (including the variations). Setting range: 0 - 10 Default setting: 5 Sustain Sample Depth 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP The following Voices feature special "Sustain Samples" that recreate the unique resonance of an acoustic grand piano's soundboard and strings when the damper pedal is pressed. This function lets you adjust the depth of this effect. • GRAND PIANO1 (including VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO2 (only VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO3 (including VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO4 (only VARIATION) Setting range: 0 - 10 Default setting: 5 Key-off Sample Volume 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP You can adjust the volume of the key-off sound (the subtle sound produced when the keys are released) for the following Voices. • GRAND PIANO1 (including VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO2 (including VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO3 (including VARIATION) • GRAND PIANO4 (only VARIATION) • E.PIANO2 (excluding VARIATION) • HARPSICHORD (including VARIATION) Setting range: 0 - 10 Default setting: 5 MIDI Song Channel 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP 470 440 430 S408 S406 465GP You can specify which song channels will play back on this instrument by using the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons. Setting range: ALL, 1&2 Default setting: ALL When "ALL" is selected, channels 1 - 16 will be played back.
