Chapter 12 Maintenance 12.9 System Operation Mode Overview The Sys OP Mode (System Operation Mode) function lets you configure your WAP3205 as an access point, wireless client or both at the same time. You can choose between Access Point Mode, Client Mode and Universal Repeater Mode depending on your network topology and the features you require from your device. The following describes the device modes available in your WAP3205. Access Point An access point enabled all ethernet ports to be bridged together and be in the same subnet. To connect to the Internet, another device, such as a router, is required. Figure 82 Access Point Mode Client WAP3205 in client mode connects to an existing access point wirelessly. It acts just like a wireless client in notebooks/computers.
