Chapter 5 Universal Repeater Mode Table 16 Universal Repeater Mode: Wireless LAN > Universal Repeater: Static WEP LABEL WEP Key 1 ~ WEP Key 4 DESCRIPTION The WEP keys are used to encrypt data. Both the WAP3205 and the access point must use the same WEP key for data transmission. If you chose HEX, enter 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters in the range of "A-F", "a-f" and "0-9" (for example, 11AA22BB33) for a 64-bit or 128-bit WEP key respectively. If you chose ASCII, enter any 5 or 13 ASCII characters (case sensitive) ranging from "a-z", "A-Z" and "0-9" (for example, MyKey) for a 64-bit or 128-bit WEP key respectively. Apply Reset You must configure at least one key, only one key can be activated at any one time. Click Apply to save your changes back to the WAP3205. SSID Enter the name of the access point to which you are connecting. MAC Address (Optional) Enter the MAC address of the access point to which you are connecting. Security Mode Select WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK if the access point to which you want to connect uses WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK. Encryption Type Select the type of wireless encryption employed by the access point to which you want to connect. Pre-Shared Key WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK uses a simple common password for authentication. Apply Reset Type the password employed by the access point to which you want to connect. Click Apply to save your changes back to the WAP3205.
