Messages on the LCD (In the 1st row) TONER EMPTY (In the 2nd row) Open cover, then replace new toner cartridge TONER LOW Probable Cause The toner sensor has detected that there is no toner in the cartridge or that no toner cartridge is loaded. If this message appears, recording is no longer possible. The toner sensor has detected that there is not enough toner. *On machines equipped with a single-row LCD, these messages appear alternately. If only an alarm beep is heard without any message on the LCD when the machine is powered up, the ROM or RAM will be defective. VI - 4
