a Turn the main power to ON. b Press (Presser foot lifter button) to raise the presser foot.  The upper thread shutter opens so the machine can be threaded. UPPER THREADING f While holding the thread with both hands, pass the thread through grooves of the thread guide plate. 1 a GETTING READY a 1 Upper thread shutter 1 Thread guide plate g While holding the thread in your right thread through the thread guide in the hand, pass direction the indicated. c Press (Needle position button) to raise the needle. IMPORTANT • Be sure to raise the needle before using the automatic needle threader. CAUTION • Choose a spool cap that best fits the size of spool being used.
