Cleaning the Inside of the Machine Bottom Plate Cleaning

6 To remove dust after cleaning or dry the wet paper feed roller, perform the copy operation from the Front Tray twice. (1) Load two sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Front Tray. (2) Turn on the machine, and then press the Feed Switch button to select the Front Tray. Note Paper is loaded to clean the paper feed roller. Any original document is not required to load. (3) Perform the copy operation twice. See "Copying" on page 21. „ Cleaning the Inside of the Machine (Bottom Plate Cleaning) This section describes how to clean the inside of the machine. If the inside of the machine becomes dirty, printed paper may get dirty, so we recommend performing cleaning regularly. Important Do not perform any other operation while the bottom plate is being cleaned. 1 Make sure that the machine is turned on, and then remove any paper from the Rear Tray. 2 Open the Paper Output Tray and extend the Output Support Extension. 3 Fold a single sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in half widthwise, and then unfold the paper. 4 Load this and only this sheet of paper in the Rear Tray with the open side to the front. To remove dust after cleaning or dry the wet paper feed roller, perform the copy
operation from the Front Tray twice.
(1)
Load two sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Front Tray.
(2)
Turn on the machine, and then press the
Feed Switch
button to select the Front Tray.
(3)
Perform the copy operation twice.

This section describes how to clean the inside of the machine. If the inside of the machine
becomes dirty, printed paper may get dirty, so we recommend performing cleaning regularly.

Make sure that the machine is turned on, and then remove any paper from the
Rear Tray.

Open the Paper Output Tray and extend the Output Support Extension.

Fold a single sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in half widthwise, and then
unfold the paper.

Load this and only this sheet of paper in the
Rear Tray with the open side to the front.
Note
Paper is loaded to clean the paper feed roller. Any original document is not required to load.
Important
Do not perform any other operation while the bottom plate is being cleaned.
