Getting Started 1-7 1. Select the Start, Programs menu and click Compaq Hub Management Utilities (if a copy of a shortcut is displayed on your desktop, double-click it). The initial HMU screen shown in the figure below will display. This screen will only appear when HMU is started for the first time or after the HMU.dat file has been deleted. Figure 1-2. Initial HMU screen 2. Enter an IP address. 3. Click the Discover button. The next part of the process is to verify the SNMP and to set Community Names. If the Community Names are still set to the defaults, HMU will continue with discovery. NOTE: The default get Community Name is "public", while the default set Community Name is "private". If these do not work, check with a system administrator who can give you the current Community Names. To set Community Names, see Appendix C, "Configuring the Management Module."
