Managing from Device View 3-5 Status - If the port is Enabled, that port has a properly operating Fibre Channel device connected to it, and the port has not had its force bypass control set. If the port is Bypassed, the port has had its Force Bypass control set, or else no operating Fibre Channel device is connected to the port as determined by the agent. Media Type - This function shows the media type supported or if no connector is present. Mgmt Protocol - This function indicates whether the device attached to the port communicates using Inter-Hub protocol or not. The Service Tab A right click over the RS-232 port or a click on the Service tab displays a dialog box. This tab offers the following choices: Firmware Versions - This function displays the firmware versions installed on the device. Temperature Fault Threshold - This function allows control in setting a temperature fault threshold for operation. The default fault threshold default is set at 60 degrees Celsius. Beacon Control - This function controls the flash of the Power LEDs on the front of the device. A Beacon Control blink rate can be selected and viewed in an animated format.
