To save the current topology, click anywhere on the SAN View screen. Next, click Save Topological Data. If a save is not performed, the topological data will be saved automatically whenever HMU is closed. NOTE: To save topological data, File, Save Topological Changes can be selected from the menu bar. Clear A Fault If a hub parameter exceeds the limit and displays an alert condition in either of the SAN View tab pages, the alert can be cleared. To clear a fault, place the cursor directly over the device whose parameter exceeded the limit, right click to display the Context Menu, and then select Clear Fault Indication. IMPORTANT: The color code or text string will revert to normal in the SAN View page. That does not mean that you have dealt with a problem, nor does it mean that the alert has been cleared in the Device View. Determine if a setting has been changed erroneously, or if something adverse is happening in the hub. File Menu Clicking on the File Menu in the upper left corner of HMU's SAN window offers the selections shown in the figure below. This menu gives you access to a number of HMUs global parameters. In the previous section, we explored the Context Menu that allows users to set parameters on a device-by-device and per network basis. This menu permits changing parameters for all of the managed devices on all the networks being managed through one set of actions. If one network is being managed, there is no real difference between the File Menu and previous windows. However, there are many useful items on this menu, such as Configure Log File and Clear Event Page.
