A Current Event Log Open The HMU.log File The HMU.log file can be imported into a spreadsheet program such as Excel for viewing or establishing trends. By default, the path to HMU.log is C:\Program Files\Compaq\HMU\HMU.log, or an alternative path if one was named during installation or changed using the Log File Configuration dialog box. The path is stored in the system registry. If the HMU.log file gets deleted, a new one will be created the next time HMU is started. To open this file, follow these steps: 1. Open Microsoft Excel or its equivalent. 2. Select File, Open for HMU.log. The log is a delimited file known as a comma-separated variable (.csv) file. 3. When the application makes a request for its delimiter, indicate that it is "comma." The fields written to the log file are listed below. Date in US format (month day year time)

Open The HMU.log File
