Managing from Device View 3-11 Set Temperature Fault Threshold From the Expanded Device View, click on the Service tab. In this view, temperature fault threshold can be set for proper operation. The fault threshold default is set at sixty degrees Celsius. 1. Enter a value between 0 and 60 in the threshold box. 2. Click Set. Set Beacon Control From the Expanded Device View, click on the Service tab. In the Service dialog box, the Beacon Control can be set to force the power LED on the front of the managed device to flash. The blinking LED is helpful to easily distinguish a device requiring attention in a rack of similar devices. Select the radio button for Off, Slow Blink, or Fast Blink. The beacon control icon flashes according to the setting. Download Firmware Device View has the ability to download new firmware from a networkattached server using the TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol). The hub will look at the IP address entered for the TFTP server for any new firmware and automatically download it. Refresh Data From the Device View or Expanded Device View, you can choose Refresh from the menu bar. The data for the device will be updated. Check the HMU Version To check the version number of the HMU that is running, from Expanded Device View: 1. From the menu, select Help, About Compaq Hub 12 Management Utilities. 2. Click OK.

Set Temperature Fault Threshold
From the
Expanded Device View
, click on the
Service
tab. In this view,
temperature fault threshold can be set for proper operation. The fault threshold
default is set at sixty degrees Celsius.
