Configuring the Management Module C-5 The default gateway address is normally not changed. It is usually the address for the router between your subnet and the rest of the network. To change this parameter, enter 4 Select Default Gateway Address from the Network Setup Menu. The menu is shown in the figure below. The Compaq Storage Hub 12 hub is shipped with this set to 0.0.0.0. Enter the appropriate gateway address for your network segment. Figure C-6. Default Gateway Setup Menu A reboot is required following any of the choices available from the Network Setup Menu. Once all the networking changes required are entered, enter 5 Save Network Setup Changes and Reboot in order to have the changes take effect. The system will reboot and return to the display. The ICI master can be enabled or disabled from the Network Setup Menu. If you want to declare a local Compaq Storage Hub 12 hub as the master of the loop, enter 6 Master Device Setup from the Network Setup Menu. Its current state will be displayed and can changed by entering a 2 to toggle between Master Device Enabled/Disabled followed by a reboot. Upon reboot, discovery will be initiated and the topological map will be updated. IMPORTANT: When adding an additional management module in a FC_AL that already contains a proxy master, to disable the master setting of this module. To disable the proxy master setting, select step 6 in the Network Setup Menu and select disable.
