3 Chapter Managing from Device View Device View Additional management tasks can be initiated from Device View, which displays a graphical representation of a selected device. The physical device view shows an immediate representation of device status while extended view allows the user to obtain more detailed information and access control functions. To open Device View: 1. Right click over the desired managed device from either the View Devices by Connection or View Devices by Name display. 2. Select Display Device View from the Context Menu. The HMU progress status window will appear as discovery is attempted. NOTE: Another way to open Device View is to double-click on the managed device's icon in the hierarchical view. Managing from Device View
Device View
Additional management tasks can be initiated from Device View, which
displays a graphical representation of a selected device. The physical device
view shows an immediate representation of device status while extended view
allows the user to obtain more detailed information and access control
functions.
To open Device View:
1.
Right click over the desired managed device from either the
View
Devices by Connection
or
View Devices by Name
display.
2.
Select
Display Device View
from the
Context Menu
. The HMU
