Chapter 7 Using a Printer and FlukeView Introduction This Chapter explains how to setup the test tool for communication with : z a printer to make a hardcopy of the test tool screen z a PC or laptop to use the FlukeView software. Using a Printer To print a (graphic) hard copy of the present screen, you need to use one of the following: z The Optically Isolated RS-232 Adapter/Cable (PM9080, optional) to connect a serial printer to the OPTICAL PORT of the test tool. See Figure 7-1. z The Print Adapter Cable (PAC91, optional) to connect a parallel printer to the OPTICAL PORT of the test tool. See Figure 7-2. 7-1

Introduction
This Chapter explains how to setup the test tool for
communication with :
a printer to make a hardcopy of the test tool screen
a PC or laptop to use the FlukeView software.
Using a Printer
To print a (graphic) hard copy of the present screen, you
need to use one of the following:
The Optically Isolated RS-232 Adapter/Cable
(PM9080, optional) to connect a serial printer to the
OPTICAL PORT of the test tool. See Figure 7-1.
The Print Adapter Cable (PAC91, optional) to connect
a parallel printer to the OPTICAL PORT of the test
tool. See Figure 7-2.
