A-Class System Service A-Class Server Fault Condition Recognition A-Class Server Fault Condition Recognition Overview The existence of fault conditions are determined by reviewing Front Panel LED Status codes (shown below), or reviewing Review Console Messages. The following subsections describe fault condition review procedures. Review Front Panel Status LEDs Front panel LEDs display either normal operation or fault status of the A-Class server. Fault conditions consist of selftest failures and High Priority Machine Check (HPMC) fault conditions. The following table describes what the front panel LED blink patterns indicate: Chapter 3 LAN LED Random Blink Pattern Off Heartbeat LED Heartbeat Blink Pattern Off Indication Normal Operation (HP-UX running) 2nd Level Cache SIMM fault On (Steady) Off Memory SIMM fault On (Steady On (Steady) I/O Subsystem or I/O Board fault Off On (Steady) System board fault, HPMC or Unknown fault Blinking Blinking opposite of Heartbeat LED Off On (Steady) I/O HPMC fault Blinking opposite of LAN LED Memory HPMC fault (When LAN is ON, Heartbeat is OFF.
