Removal and Replacement To Remove: Loosen captive screw, pull firmly on handle, and remove CRU. To Install: Push controller fan CRU firmly into slot and tighten captive screw. Figure 100 Controller Fan Module Removal and Replacement Installing the Controller Fan Module. 1. Slide the new module into the slot and tighten the screw. The captive screw is spring- loaded and will not tighten unless it is inserted all the way into the chassis. If the screw keeps spinning without tightening, push on the front of the module until it snaps into place, and then tighten the screw. 2. Check the system LEDs on the controller fan module for the following behavior: - The green Power LED should be on and the Fan Fault LED should be off. If the Fan Fault LED turns on or the Power LED remains off, make sure that the controller enclosure fan module is inserted all the way into the chassis, and the thumbscrew is tight. If the Fan Fault LED remains on, it may indicate a problem with the new module. 3. Install the front cover. See "Front Cover Removal/Replacement" on page 397. Controller Enclosure Modules 399
