Hewlett-Packard Software License Terms The disk array hardware described herein uses Licensed Internal Code ("LIC"). The LIC, including any updates or replacements, any LIC utility software, and Supplier's software are collectively referred to as "Software". HP or its Suppliers own the copyrights in the Software and all copies of the Software. HP distributes the Software under license. The following Terms and Conditions shall govern the Software and Customer's use of the Software. 1. DEFINITIONS a. "Software" is one or more programs capable of operating on a computer, processor, or controller which is either listed separately as a Software Product on the Price List, included with another Product on the Price List, or fixed in hardware and not removable in normal operation. b. "Use" means storing, loading, installing, executing, or displaying Software on a computer, processor, or controller, or making a copy of Software for archival or backup purposes only. c. "Products" include hardware, Software, options, documentation, accessories, supplies, spare parts, and upgrades on HP's Price List on the date HP receives Customer's order. License Grant. HP grants you a license to Use one copy of the Software. "Use" means storing, loading, installing, executing or displaying the Software. You may not modify the Warranty and License Information 431
