You cannot use the battery pack with the ThinkPad 380, 380D, 385D, 380E, 380ED, or 385ED computer. 2. You cannot use the battery pack with a non-Intel Pentium II model of the ThinkPad 380XD or 385XD computer. 3. You cannot use the ThinkPad 380/385 battery option (part number 73H9793) for your computer. You can replace the battery when the computer is in hibernation mode. (You cannot replace it when the computer is in suspend mode.) If you are using a PC Card, however, the computer might not be able to enter hibernation mode. Replacing the Battery Pack
To replace the battery pack, do as follows:

Power off your computer, or enter hibernation mode.

Close the LCD and turn the computer over.

Pull the battery-pack lock upward

; and slide it toward
the rear of the computer

Note the following restrictions on the battery pack:
1.
You cannot use the battery pack with the ThinkPad 380,
380D, 385D, 380E, 380ED, or 385ED computer.
2.
You cannot use the battery pack with a non-Intel

3.
You cannot use the ThinkPad 380/385 battery option
